Xiaomi 11T Pro Review, Price and Specs

Last Updated on April 10, 2022 by Rick Darlinton

The latest addition to the T series – Xiaomi’s premium budget line – is the Xiaomi 11T Pro. It’s loaded with features you’d find in a premium device, yet the 11T Pro remains moderately priced.

In this Xiaomi 11T Pro review,we look at some of the smartphone’s features and what makes it special. This way, you know what to expect before settling for the Xiaomi device.

Design

Measuring 6.45” X 3.02” X 0.34”, the Xiaomi 11T Pro has a massive size. It’s certainly not a device for small hands due to the sheer size of the phone.

Much of the Xiaomi 11T Pro’s size is down to its screen. You get more screen space to work with.

The exterior of the 11T Pro is plastic bounded by an aluminum frame. While it is available in different colors, you have to be wary of how easily it retains prints and marks. It can be get unsightly when holding the phone for the shortest of time.

Not derailing from tradition, the 11T Pro has its fingerprint scanner on the right side. It’s extremely sensitive, so you shouldn’t have a problem unlocking your phone with your fingerprint.

The Mi 11T Pro’s rear is a haven for prints and marks, but it’s certainly not showy. For one, there’s no conspicuous camera bump to worry about.

Xiaomi jettisoned the headphone jack in the 11T Pro. If you’re a wired earphone buff, you’ll need an adapter for this Xiaomi device.

Display

Despite the large screen size, the display isn’t Xiaomi 11T Pro’s selling feature – that 6.67 display panel is just good enough. The 2400 X 1800 resolution of the 11T Pro’s display is amply sufficient for most activities you’d carry out on a phone.

With a refresh rate of 120Hz, operating the 11T Pro is as sleek as it gets. You can navigate apps and games without getting worn out.

Average Chipset

The notorious Snapdragon 888 chipset gets a place in the 11T Pro. You can do a lot of simple tasks on this smartphone with the chipset pulling the strings. Yet, it’s not a trailblazer, especially with its underlying flaw – it heats up quickly when push comes to shove.

Nevertheless, the 11T Pro does hold its own on the performance leaderboard. You can do a lot, and the phone might not get hot – an indication that its heating problem is more or less a lack of an efficient cooling system.

Storage Capacity

The storage capacity of the standard Xiaomi 11T Pro is 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM. It’s not exactly outstanding when compared to the 11T Pro’s flagship siblings that have bigger storage, but it’s not a bad deal on a moderately priced gadget.

An 8GB RAM is more than enough to keep several apps open. You can load up lots of files on the 11T Pro’s 128GB storage. If that’s not enough, you can always add an external storage device to keep all that extra items.

Camera Infrastructure

The 11T Pro is equipped with four camera apertures. These consist of the rear cameras – 108MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide, and 5MP tele camera. The 16MP front camera completes the picture capturing gimmicks on the Xiaomi device.

Taking pictures with the main camera comes out great if the lighting is great. It’s as vividly stimulating as you’d like. Where the main camera is more detailed in picture quality, the others play catch-up. The 8MP ultrawide camera on the 11T Pro isn’t shabby despite its low resolution, but discrepancies do show up.

Perhaps the most outstanding camera aperture on the 11T Pro is its telephoto camera. Don’t let its 5MP resolution fool you. It’s smooth and just as detailed as the main camera.

The front camera is decent for selfies. Its 16MP delivers good enough selfies.

Battery Capacity

Xiaomi 11T Pro comes with a big 5000mah battery. If you intend to use the 11T Pro frequently and heavily, then you’ll need to have the charger pack on you. Fortunately, its 120W charging capacity means you can get the handset’s battery from zero to 100% real quick.

Pricing

The Xiaomi 11T Pro price starts at $759, which is reasonably priced when you take in its many features. It’s premium on a budget, with a few inconveniences attached. You can get bigger storage and RAM for a little more than the basic price.

Verdict

The Xiaomi 11T Pro features – exquisite camera capability, swift charging, and its big size – will pitch phone users against one another. Some users like big phones, others are picture freaks – and these are some of the perks of the 11T Pro. Yet, the easily hot chipset and poor battery performance put it at a disadvantage.

Nevertheless, the 11T Pro is a decent smartphone for its price. You just have to get ready to ignore the flaws.
