Recently, I have experienced the frustrating problem of Mouse moving on its own on my Windows 10 laptop. It happened all of a sudden, although I ever met with the similar issue that the mouse moves on its own when I tried to type in the login password each time. But this time, it was very frustrating as I can’t do anything on my Windows laptop.  When I tried to type something in the browser search box or in the word document, the mouse cursor just moves “““““”  by itself.  I searched many solutions online and also tried those solutions for almost 2 hours but nothing worked to fix the issue.  What I had to do is visit a computer repair shop near me and finally fix the issue of the Mouse moving on its own in Windows.  So in this post, I will share some of my own experience about how to fix Mouse moving on its own in Windows 10/8/7

Replace a short-circuited keyboard or plug off the keyboard connector cable

As said above, after trying some solutions online, I still can not fix the issue of the mouse moving on its own for my Windows 10 laptop. Finally, I had to visit a computer repair shop nearby and the shop owner just spent 5 minutes fixing the problem of the cursor moving on its own. He just said the reason why my mouse is moving on its own is that some shortcuts of my laptop’s built-in keyboard is short-circuited. There are two solutions that are available to fix the issue: replace a new built-in keyboard or just plug off the keyboard connector cable. Although I can not use the built-in keyboard after the connector cable is plugged off, I prefer the latter solution. This is because my laptop is very old and I can use the external keyboard.  After several days, the issue of the mouse cursor moving on its own never happens again to my laptop.  But I suggest you visit a computer repair shop near you to get this done in case you damage your computer further without enough technical knowledge.
