iPhone 13 was released more than 2 months now with many improvements compared to its predecessor iPhone 12. In this post, we are going to give a detailed iPhone 13 review including what kinds of improvements it has compared to iPhone 12 and also list some detailed specifications for this stunning device.
iPhone 13 design
In general, iPhone 13 looks similar to its predecessor but iPhone 13 notch is 20% smaller in width compared to iPhone 12. The camera bump for iPhone 13 is also thicker than iPhone 12. For iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini, two cameras are also positioned opposite each other.
Display is amazing
The first upgrade for iPhone 13 screen is that it features a max brightness of 800 nits and a max brightness of 1200 nits for HDR content. This is a big improvement because it could let you view the phone screen clearly even under the strong sun. Unfortunately, the 120HZ high refresh rate is only available to iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone Pro Max.
If your budget is adequate, you could select iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro Max for a much better view experience. With the 120HZ high refresh rate, the devices will let you enjoy a vivid and smooth view experience no matter you are watching movies or playing games on your device.
The A15 processor is brilliant
Undoubtedly, Apple A15 Bionic is considered to be one of the best mobile phone processors around the world with some strong and brilliant performances. Compared to Apple A14 Bionic used in iPhone 12, A15 has a better performance. It is claimed that A15 has a 50% higher performance and 30% higher GPU performance than Apple A14.
Additionally, Apple 15 Bionic is faster, consuming less power, and performing much better in gaming performance. The main performance difference between iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro relies on the GPU performance. iPhone 13 Pro has a much better GPU performance compared to iPhone 13.
iPhone 13 Cameras are upgraded
iPhone 13/ 13 Mini still uses two 12MP rear cameras but with a larger camera sensor and a wider aperture than iPhone 12. A big upgrade for iPhone 13/13 Mini is that these two devices also use the sensor-shift optical image stabilization technology which was only applied to iPhone 12 Pro Max last year. So you can imagine that iPhone 13 camera performance is definitely better than iPhone 12 to a large extent. The good news is that Apple’s cinematic mode is available to all ranges of the iPhone 13 series this year.
iPhone 13 Battery: improved but not big enough
iPhone 13’s battery is 3240mAh which is improved than iPhone 12’s 2815mAh. iPhone 13 battery is claimed to power the device for extra 1.5-2 hours than iPhone 12. But the improvement is not big enough. Also, the iPhone features 23W fast charging and the device can be charged from 0%-50% within 30 minutes but this is not good enough compared to some devices from its competitors.
